Jardines de la Reina (also: Gardens of the Queen) is an archipelago in the southern part of Cuba, located in the Caribbean Sea. It is Cuba’s second largest archipelago formed by more than 600 cays and islands.
This destination is a real paradise, especially for the spinning admirers. The immense quantity of channels, creeks, slopes and wide territories along the coral reef provide amazing chances for any fishing format. Due to the archipelago stretching from the North to the South one can choose his own favorite fishing place, as well as to hide behind the islands in a windy weather.
The Jardines consists of the islands scattered throughout the territory of 300 sq. km. Most of the surface is occupied with shallow waters and mangrove brushwood, which are excellent for spinning and fly-fishing.
Species of fish found here include Cubera snapper, Tarpon, Red snapper, Bonefish, Yellowfin grouper, Permit Fish, Black grouper, Atlantic goliath grouper as, the large Caribbean Conch and Whale shark. Besides being an extraordinary site for fly fishing, one its main attractions for diving is the abundance of reef sharks.

There are 7 modern powerful motor boats specially purposed for the shallow waters fishing. Each of them carries up to 2 persons. Each boat is driven by a professional guide, skillful at spinning and fly-fishing.
One night before the fishing and one afterwards you’ll spend in a luxurious hotel Parque Central 5*, built in authentic colonial style.
The hotel is situated in the center of Old Havana. 200 m close to it there is a famous bar Floridita, where Hemingway used to spend time in. The bar also offers the best Mojito and Daiquiri cocktails. To the market where you can buy the souvenirs – it’s only 10 minutes walk via the old city.
AT THE TORTUGA FLOATING HOTEL:
The floating hotel “Tortuga” is located near the shores of the Jardines Islands group to the South-East from the main island. It’s specially equipped for the anglers’ comfortable accommodation. It consists of 2 decks, each being 35 m long, where a specious saloon and 7 double suites. Each one has a shower and WC, air-conditioning system, 220 V electricity sockets and Internet.
