The village Jesera on the Murter Island has become a famous BIG GAME Mediterranean fishing center. For already 15 years the ambitions “gamers” come here to experience a challenging battle with powerful sea giants.
The Blue-finned Tuna shows unbelievable stamina. It’s recognized to be the most “hard-to-get” and desired trophy. The Adriatic record is 475 kg, and for
Jesera – 303 kg. The middle-sized specimen of the Blue-finned Tuna fluctuate among 50-150 kg. Sometimes even bigger fish up to 200 kg occur.
Each year an international Blue-finned Tuna Fishing competition is held in Jesera. At times one can meet Albacore (Long-finned Tuna), Blue Shark, Fox Shark, Dolphinfish, Amberfish.

Murter is an island in the central region of Croatia, to the west of Sibenik and Vodice. It’s separated by a narrow strait (20 m wide), and connected to the land by a drawbridge at a distance of 8km from Vodice resort. To the West of the island there lies a national reservation park – Kornati. There is plenty of fig and olive gardens on the island. Murter is very popular among divers, yachtsmen.
Jesera village is located in the South-Eastern part of the Murter Island. Inhabited by only 950 people this village is surrounded by small hills. Due to such situation the village is protected from the severe winds, and its large marina is perfect for mooring of any boats.
The Jesera surroundings are truly picturesque: crystal clear sea water, azur shallows, clean and cozy pebble beaches.
